Sun Moon Lake places of interest
After 2 camp trips at Lake Rock Camp, we found the place was very organised and clean. However there are few factors affecting the campsite. After the completion of the cable car station which is just beside the campsite, it no longer posses a beautiful nature view of the lake as you see the photo on the right.This camping view is gone. The newly constructed tourist water walk way which is in front of the camp is making the campers look like monkeys in the zoo. Lake side camping is not ideal anymore.
Another note we found was the fee. At the time when preparing this Blog and before we visited the campsite we did not notice much about the fee until we were there. Camping in this area, you will have to pay for parking fee, tent fee, if you have 2 tents you have to pay twice the fee, also Adult, child fee and even pet fee!! So if you are driving there alone with a pet, you will end up paying NT450!!! I would only pay such fee if there are facilities such as hot spring but the campsite has none. A nice camping ground but much is lost to nearby development and their camp pricing.

I did not notice much about the walk way infront of our campground. The cable car station was not ready and there were not many tourist in this area.
