Last time when I was camping in Chaiyi Farm Resort, I was wondering why there were no other campsite around 曾文水庫 CengWen Reservoir. Last year I made a search on my GPS and found this campsite. Some people call this 萊茵湖營地 LaiYin Lake Camp.
曾文水庫 CengWen Reservior is a beautiful place. It is Taiwan's largest reservoir. The best time to visit is after June when the rain starts fill the reservoir again and the wild life returns.
At the moment at 大埔湖濱公園 there are no fee to be collected when entering the park or camping in the area. The park area looks clean and well maintained. However the camp area needs some maintenance. Some of the wooden platform are showing signs of deterioration.At the moment there are not power points found but there were signs of a left over power source, probably someone have ripped it all off.
There are 2 toilets located in the park but they are a distance away around 100mtrs from the campsite. On the Web we found the last active camping in this area was in Feb 2010 during Lunar Chinese New Year.
